Our marvelous man, Stan Lee, passed away at the age of 95 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Center on November 12, 2018. His wife of 69 years passed in 2017. He was — and still is — a super hero to comic book lovers. He was even working on a new hero, DirtMan, before he crossed the great divide. We will honor him and mourn his passing, but his characters will always live on.

Stan Lee was born on December 28, 1922 in Manhattan, New York. He was an American comic book editor, publisher, and writer who was active from the 1940s to the 2010s. The first comic book that jump-started his career was Spider-Man. He — along with Jack Kirby — created and published this comic strip in 1977. He took part in the majority of the Marvel movies – if not all.  Avengers: Infinity War is the most recent and glorified Marvel movie. Still, Spider-Man was Stan Lee’s muse in the comic world. He was involved in the character and story so much, in fact, that his image was a cameo skin and an easter egg in the PS4 and  PS4PRO game Marvel:  Spider-man.

Referring back to Dirtman, he was working on this comic with his daughter, Joan Celia. “We have been working on a character called Dirt Man. The last little angel that we’ve got tucked away is called Dirt Man,” she told TMZ. “I said, ‘Daddy please, no clatter, no steel, no any of that.'” Stan Lee was working onto making it a movie. Stan Lee was a marvelous man. His legacy will live on. We see his heart and passion in every one of his works.
