Overtime people change, that is just part of life. They change the way they dress or how the act as a whole, then some just hardly change. The person that may had been your best friend during elementary school could have not spoken to you since the last time you walked out of those doors. Then other people are able to change in just a few months or even weeks.

I have spent all three years of middle school at Beckley-Stratton, I have really noticed how everyone has grown up. Each time I go back to my elementary school I always feel like everything seems so much smaller. The doors walking into the building feel lighter and the doorway feels shorter. Walls in the building may have been painted or have new decorative elements placed on them but seeing things like the small curved crack in the tile waking into the office or the bright orange gymnasium doors bring back many memories.

The same thing applies to middle school. The way the hallway lights reflect onto the tile back onto the lockers or the sound of a water hitting on the bottom of the vending machines. Every person is filled with different memories when walking in and out of these doors.

Each ear is filled with new people and new memories each day. Every day you are making new memories even if you don’t notice. At the beginning of the school year you come in from memories from the last and as your finish up the year you can look back at all the memories you have made. Some may be good and some may not be the greatest. For better or for worse many of us never forget all the years throughout school. Each one of us is filled with unique memories walking in and out of these doors. Finishing up our last year here we will be walking into others old memories.

Beckley-Stratton middle school has left me with many new friends along with new opportunities going into high school. Throughout my years of school I have had numerous good teachers but I believe Beckley-Stratton has had some of the best of all because once a bulldog, always a bulldog.
