Nothing beats being a Beckley-Stratton Bulldog. Our Bulldog soccer team took home the title of Co-Champions on October 25, 2017.

The championship game against Park was grueling and even went into a double overtime with three sets of penalty shots. After the game came to an end, Caleb McClanahan stated that he “could have played better to help (us) take the win.”

After the alarm sounded at the end of the second overtime, referees talked to the coaches about making a decision; they had to decide to either call it a tie or flip a coin naming one team in 1st place and the other in 2nd.

“I don’t mind sharing the championship with our rivals, Park, because players from each team will be playing with each other in high school,” said Coach Mike Johnson.

During the regular season, BEST had beat Park 5 to 4 the first time, 5 to 0 the second time. Both teams had an incredible 2017-2018 season.
